The original BALOMMON™ logo was fine. Fine isn’t good enough when you’re building in public.

The first version — a bold B inside a Honey Oak octagon — was generated by Google Antigravity during the initial build. It did the job. But when I looked at it next to the GAIDE™ Chicago logo, something was missing. The two brands felt disconnected.

So I opened Adobe InDesign and fixed it.

The inspiration

The GAIDE™ Chicago logo has a sparkle motif inside the A — four-pointed stars that give it energy and identity. That sparkle is the visual signature of the brand. So I asked a simple question: what if BALOMMON™ had the same sparkle?

I removed the inner components of the B, made it a solid geometric form, and placed the sparkle cluster inside. The result is a B that feels designed rather than generated. It has presence. It has brand.

Why this matters

BALOMMON™ is the official event app for GAIDE™ Chicago. Every builder and attendee who attends the Greatest AI Developers Expo on May 23 will interact with this app — voting, discovering builder profiles, experiencing the Sovereignty Soundtrack, and checking in at the door.

When the app and the event share a visual language, the whole experience feels intentional. Two brands. One ecosystem. One visual thread.

Building in public means iterating in public

This is what real product development looks like. You build something, you look at it honestly, and you make it better. The first version doesn’t have to be the final version. The goal is forward momentum — wireframe to web app in 24 hours, and now a logo that actually represents what this app is.
