GAIDE Chicago™ Code of Conduct

Purpose
GAIDE Chicago — Greatest AI Developers Expo (GAIDE) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free, inclusive, and respectful event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or technical skill level. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.
Expected Behavior
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers are expected to:
- Be respectful and considerate in speech and actions
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech
- Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants
- Alert event organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress
- Respect the intellectual property of presenters (no recording without permission)
- Give credit where credit is due (acknowledge tools, libraries, and collaborators used in projects)
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable:
- Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person
- Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language
- Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material
- Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”)
- Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability
- Inappropriate photography or recording without explicit consent
- Inappropriate physical contact (always ask before touching anyone)
- Unwelcome sexual attention (including sexualized comments or jokes)
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior
- Sustained disruption of presentations, demos, or other event activities
Intellectual Property & Ownership
GAIDE Chicago celebrates independent builders who retain 100% ownership of their work. Attendees are expected to:
- Respect the intellectual property rights of all presenters
- Not record, screenshot, or distribute presenter materials without explicit permission
- Give proper attribution when referencing or building upon another attendee’s work
- Understand that all projects showcased at GAIDE Chicago remain the sole property of their creators
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior from any event participant will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including:
- A formal warning to cease the behavior
- Expulsion from the event without refund
- Disqualification from prize consideration
- Ban from future GAIDE Chicago events
Reporting Violations
If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify an event organizer as soon as possible.

- In-person: Identify yourself to any ZITNALTA™ Labs staff member (wearing GAIDE Chicago credentials)
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. Event organizers will take all necessary and appropriate action to address the situation.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all GAIDE Chicago event spaces, including:
- Main event venue (May 10, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- VIP Reception (May 9, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- ZITNALTA™ Labs Press Launch (May 10, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM)
- Virtual event sessions (Zoom calls)
- Event-related social media (X, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Any other GAIDE Chicago-affiliated activities or communications

By attending GAIDE Chicago, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Event organizers reserve the right to refuse admission to, or remove, any person from the event at any time for any reason.
We expect all participants to help create a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone.
